Hello everyone, I’ve been using CopperCube for a while, and I really think it would benefit from becoming fully open source, especially the editor itself. CopperCube is a lightweight and accessible game engine with a lot of potential. Making the editor open source could allow the community to: Add new features and tools Fix bugs and improve stability Improve compatibility with modern systems Create new plugins and integrations Improve the renderer and workflow Keep the engine alive and evolving Contribute ideas and code directly to the project There are many talented developers in the CopperCube community who could potentially contribute to its development. An open-source editor could also make it easier for the community to maintain CopperCube in the long term. I’m not saying the current development model is bad — I just think open-sourcing the editor could give CopperCube a second life and bring a lot of new possibilities. What do you think? Would you like to see the CopperCube editor become open source someday? I know that if CopperCube became opensource, it would have an extreme potential. |
