yeah Enbm is very old, i think it appeared in dx6. software only,. and dx7 cards could do it in hardware, so around 99/early 2k? lol yeah the normalmaps with the directional light you have added it a big improvement. Sam |

Using the old fixed function pipeline we have normal mapping (ccbSetBumpMap) and emmissive maps working (ccbSetSolidEmissive) which is a lot better than default CC. The main one we dont have is specular highlights which could be sort of done using multi-pass rendering but havent yet got that working....see how that goes...(ie run without specular in pass1, then run another pass with specular on and combine the 2 together adjusted for the specular map...nice idea...not sure if I can get that working... Roughness and AO maps can be baked into the base texture (so can some normal map details). |
