I just wanted to ask if there are any plans to support subcategories or second-level menu items in the sidebar menu. At the moment, it seems the menu only allows flat structures, which can become a bit cluttered for larger websites. Is there perhaps a feature like this already in development, or a known workaround to implement nested menu items? |

True - that would be a nice feature. It would probably not be a lot of work to add something like this - did you think of just always-visible indented sub items or also collapsed sub items which would scroll out when the top item is touched? |

Both options would actually be great — depending on the use case, I like always expanded submenus as well as collapsible ones. Maybe it could even be made optional, so users can choose which behavior fits their project best. EDIT I’ve thought about it again — if only one option were possible, I’d personally prefer collapsible submenus, so the sidebar doesn’t become too large or cluttered. Even more important would be the ability to separately format the font style of the top-level and sub-level menu items. |

True - will see what can be done about it. But the possibilities are a bit limited there since it's a downloadable component, but let's see. |

I've wondered about that before. Why are the components available for download at all, instead of being integrated directly? |

It's mostly because you then have access to the full source of the component and can adjust them yourself - in theory you could add subcategories yourself now. But it also makes it possible to make updates to these components without the need of updating the RocketCake editor at all. |
