Let's have that discussion on Discord... DM me there. I'm listed under "Luposian". |

wrote: luposian I've spent a lot of time, effort, and tons of money (relatively speaking) Again, not trying to be rude or offend you, but I spent about two and a half hours on the model in the video, and honestly, I could have made a more optimized Luposian model for the CooperCube, with animations, for a much lower price… Speaking as someone who does 3D modeling and understands how it works, I wouldn’t have paid for the texture Kam_27 made for you (again, don’t take this the wrong way - I can send screenshots if needed). The topology is good, but it doesn’t match the quality level of the texture. Also, you need to realize that if you’re planning to make a game series, you’ll have to use different models for the character since the events will take place in different time periods. If you really want to make a solid technically game, you should find a single programmer to work with rather than using code from different people. Just my advice for the future development of your game universe. If you actually want to have a proper discussion, I’d prefer to chat on Discord. You have to realize, I WANTED him to copy the pencil sketch. It was, in my view, the PERFECT version of Luposian I ever imagined in my mind, done 22 years earlier. So, I guided him, in every way possible, to get as close to that as absolutely possible, until I was happy. And you can see how close he got. I'm not disappointed. And I feel I got my money's worth. Could you have done better with animation... for less? You claim you could. Well, there's only one way to find out... as soon as I am a little bit better situated financially, I'm going to put that claim to the test. Name your price. When I'm happy with the result (and not one bit sooner), I'll send you the funds. I'll do a side-by-side comparison. You game? That being said, how he looks in this game is not how he is "supposed" to look. I used this model because it worked for the revised storyline I made specifically for CopperCube. Luposian, in this game, is actually a pre-creation "dream representation" of himself. How he is SUPPOSED to look, he now does (thanks to someone who actually knew how to do fur in Blender and it only cost me about $30, as I recall. I was shocked!)... but there is no game engine that can handle it, except Unreal, to my knowledge. It will be an entirely new game... which continues his life in the REAL world. I'd love to share it with people, but patience is required. One must play the Prelude... to get to the Creation. Unless players (who finish the game) would prefer to simply watch a video series of his continuing adventures instead. It will be a choice they can make. There is a slight possibility that they may BOTH exist (they'll be the same storyline, but you get to play one of them, instead). But finances will determine how likely that is... As for programming... I simply need someone that knows how to code in CopperCube. I need the assailant to be "smarter". Once he is moving around the way I want him, then I'll move onto other animations for Luposian. The assailant isn't a fighter, just a stealthy shooter. So fighting him will be easy... as long as you know what moves will take him down, because anything less than a specific series of moves, several times, will only delay him. He'll keep coming back until you defeat him. The hint will be how he reacts to your attacks. As for the future game, if you've seen/played Bungie's "Oni", it will be similar to that game (futuristic... dystopian, etc.)... except "Konoko" is represented by Luposian. There'll be action aplenty, guaranteed! |
