I would like to simulate an advertising plane that tows a waving flag. I'm looking for how to make the flag appear to be waving in the wind. So I'm also looking for a nice (free) 3D model of a passenger plane. I thought about building a wavy plate (sinusoidal) and playing with its lateral zoom in real time (varying it during the animation) so that we see it undulating or rather deforming. It's not bad but not satisfying, I'd like to see warp waves moving across the flag like it actually does. Has anyone done this? Thanks for any help. |

It's possible but you would have put in the time to make it work. 1st. Option: Animate a plane using bones and import as a FBX. 2nd. Option: Use this script https://hadoken-records.itch.io/... and find animated flag similar to this one https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/... Then bring each keyframe as static mech, place in a folder, then use the script to create the flag. 3rd Option: Grab a green screen of animated flag bring it in as png files then input animate texture add it to billard mesh. |
