Guest, I made many tests here and discovery two things (one good and one bad) The good is action set vertex color, diferent from coppercube editor set vertex color, allow to apply diferent vertex color in each material from one static mesh if this mesh have diferents materials in the same model. Then your action allow apply vertex color in all model or each material from one model. The bad discovery is the action set vertex color, is not applying no color in dinamic mesh, And if I des select the option all buffer, the console from test show error. But indenpendent with is marked this option and with have error or not, the action is not apply no vertex color in one dinamic mesh (problaby I didn t found this before, because in vertex color I only had test in static mesh, because I tested speep and didn t made too many tests, and when I tested I problaby had considered if worked in static mesh would work in dinamic mesh like in the editor tool, error mine, my apologies, but now after to long and many tests in all actions I discovery these two facts) (about action dinamic color and lights I tested in static and dinamic mesh everything and at present moment I really didn t find no problem) Guest when you have one time, can give you one look in the code from action set vertex color? it's probably the same issue that was happening before with the mesh buffer count. cc treats animated meshes as if they are not meshes for some reason. i will look into it tomorrow. |

Thanks guest, see when you have one time ( everybody have one life outside the computer), Sorry didn t saw this before, was one mistake mine, I was so happy when I tested with static mesh and I didn t test the dinamic mesh, I was looking and testing too the sven action Info (comentary action) in that moment. I sent one message in forum for niko about acess some proprieties from coppercube that is not documented, but I think he will problaby not answer, but is ok, the life is the way, we try if work work, if not we adapt or try another thing. you can probably get the results you want by just using the diffuse property for nodes instead of messing with the vertex colors. i think the vertex colors should remain as they are for lighting purposes and consistency, but i dunno. that said, there is a function for getting the material count so i can rewrite the extensions to just use that instead. if you can explain a reason why vertex colors are needed, let me know. maybe i just make the extensions and you test them and see. |

Guest the objective of action vertex color is the same objective from the action dinamic color material mesh and actions lights. I don t know if you will understand my vision but I will try, the more simple explanation is control the light and effects from coppercube to simulate light effects in runtime game exported from coppercube, this will allow to create better graphics game using in built resources from coppercube (each for specific object or exportation). |

The advance explanation for vertex color, is in the none and especially lightmap light system, the vertex color can be apply creating and simulating lightmap or light, theres are some game (some not to old) that use these tools: lightmap and paint vertex color to simulate and create lights effects using minimum of memory from one hardware, this way we can create better games with lights proprieties especially for web or android. The calculation of lightmap is basic print vertex color in the scene 3d obejcts, creating one better light effect (but static), we can do the same if we use vertex color. but in the coppercube this resources is limited to be made only in editor and without to change something after exportation and during game runtime, with action vertex color I will be able to simulate some proprieties from dinamic light in none or lightmap light system. Sven can you create one program that allow to create buildings and houses using modular 3d models and grid? I know there is blender and other programs but would be interesting if exist one free program to make this. Create buildings and houses inside coppercube take more time than if use one program like I said. Thanks the attention |
