There is nothing in the interface that obviously lets the user know where the head or tail of the path is. It forces the user to have to figure it out through trial and error. Attaching something to the path and seeing what direction it flows is the only safe way. If you don't do this, and you're path is fairly complex, you are forced to re-build the path. Extremely frustrating. It would be nice if either the Path object or the "Follow a Path" behaviour had a reverse toggle. This way, if you realize your object is moving along the path in the wrong direction, the user can simply press "reverse" |

Yeah, would be an idea if we have the first path node drawn with a different color or maybe a toggle will do that. but for now, when you create a complex path, just to get an idea about the flow of the path, whenever you attach a new path node to the path, it always gets added to the end of the path, so you can align your path in accordance with that. If you want there are custom path behavior by me and If I remember correctly by @sven as well you can try that as well, provides you a bit more control over the path, but might not look visually that good, instead of cubemesh you can also use empty node (recommended) whenever using the custom path behavior. |
