Hello niko, I'm asking for an “accordion text” or “FAQ” feature. My websites have mostly text in posts by date. One page has 19 posts by date so the accordion text object works really well. Using an index or contents list and anchors makes for a very long page and a lot of work. If something else would work I' open to that. Thanks |

if you need it for only text without formatting, you could try this component: https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca... It is very basic, though - but could be styled using CSS, even with animations, I think. But a next upate will very likely include such a feature. |

Gave it a try. Very awkward to use inside a container or on it's own. Also no padding or margins. It does not auto expand vertically with the text. You have to drag the container down. When in preview/live clicking on the title the text disappears but the container does not collapse. So that part needs fixing. You did say it was basic. Maybe the next update. Thanks niko! |

Yes, will add some more features in that direction. |

Thanks niko, be waiting for that. I'll split up some of pages for now. Kind Regards |

Piggy-backing onto this issue - I've used just straight HTML to achieve this result and it works well on my website. I can click on a question and the text appears underneath. I have all these FAQ questions in separate containers with solid borders, and the borders expand when you click the question and everything looks great! When I try to use the RocketCake extension for doing this, clicking on the question causes the text popup to come on top of the question - at least when the question runs to a second line. The container also does not auto expand to contain the answer, so the answer suddenly expands out beyond the container and it looks really unpolished. I WANT to use the extension very badly - my solution only shows "HTML" in RocketCake and it's hard to find which specific FAQ I need to edit when things change. The extension is more useable in RocketCake as I can see the the text as well as the summary text. But the issues above mean that it's really not useable for me yet. Is this something I'm just not doing correctly? Or does the extension need some sort of polish yet? Thanks heaps! |

You have to drag the container down past the text. Not sure why there's another container below that? Then in preview/live when you hide the text the container does not collapse but the text goes blank and a space is left. I think we're in the same boat and it's taking water. |

Yes, I did note that I could expand the initial size of the container, but then what's the point of having the summary? If we have multiple "FAQs" then the page will be really long anyway and people will have to scroll past blank containers to get to the question they want. I like the summary and expanding text because it puts all the questions on a single page, and people can quickly find what they're looking for and expand those details. Niko! We really love the concept, but it feels like it came out of the oven too soon! |

Yes, the current extension is a bit limited, but I'll add a better solution with one of the next updates - it's possible now with the new features internally added for the new carousel support in RocketCake 5.5 |

Even a button that opened a responsive window with a scroll bar if the text was long and collapsed when clicked on again would be a start. That would help until we had a real accordion/FAQ feature. Anyone? |

I found this if it helps: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_collapsible.asp |

Try the updated "Summary and Details" component, version 1.1: https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca... Should address some of the issues. |
