Woooow, that's cool.

So basically, he just uses an html wrapper for another guy's webgm version. You can simply tell it's a browser by pressing ctrl+f5 or ctrl+r while "ArcadeBox" app is open.

And the tool he used is https://www.decsoftutils.com/htmlcompiler. You can tell it by the exe icon, which is basically html 5 icon.

Whoa, c'mon. Why?

If you open .exe file with notepad you can see it reference same files as webgm from repo above:

Ok I'm trying to understand what I'm seeing/reading here. Is this "game engine" just plagiarizing off of someone else's work? Is he claiming he made something he didn't? Is he just lying about everything? Is he breaking the law at all?

I'm trying to figure out why the Example game needs to be in a .zip to actually work. On top of that, I'm trying to figure out how to PLAY this example game.

I'm TRYING to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I needed to understand what I'm seeing first. I need clear delineation between fact and fiction.

The engine is open-source and we did add features to it
And there is no problem with that. The original engine could only export to html but we added alot of export options plus we added python scripting to it
