Another thing that's important to the PS1 aesthetic, which I forgot to mention when I posted, is that the PS1 used a texel density of 32 pixels per meter for background models and a texel density of 64 for characters/props. So, if you have a wall that is 3 x 3 meters, you'd want to have a 96 x 96 texture for that, with an 8 x 8 trim texture for the sides if the wall is 0.25 meters thick. These are rough estimates, of course, but someone may find that information useful. |
