Thanks Robbo! |

Robbo wrote: I sent to Niko all my new updated source code about 3 days ago and he confirmed receipt of it. So no negative posts trying to claim Im responsible for any delays up until now ok....as I didnt send him anything until just now. He asked for a dedicated email reliquishing all copyright licence restrictions from me to use it in CopperCube which I did. So its up to Niko when to piblish any new updates....as a total guess I would say 3 months from now...but could be sooner...who knows.. The one thing I'm looking forward to the most is the occlusion culling feature. It's easily the biggest performance improvement the engine has ever received (alongside 64-bit). This will allow for much, much larger scenes, and the frame-rates of games will be so consistently high now, especially if carefully optimized. |

Yes, thanks. Occlusion culling for directx on terrains does work well as mentioned by j9907. It's not currently working with openGL even though all the code has been updated for it and directx OC with shadows or transparent objects/animated characters does cause some flashing issues currently which hopefuly Niko is able to work out how to fix....I mentioned this to him in my notes. The terrain walking sounds is also nice as with terrain auto texturing according to surface angles....both have been working consistantly well in directx. I did also mention loading terrain heightmaps needs the ability to load high resolution textures with average height adjustments to reduce too many polygons while reducing the terracing effect on some heightmap files when loaded....see if Niko will do anythign with that... |

Will Coppercube 7 come?....hahahaha.... Probably in a few months with completely useless features, a graphics engine 10 years behind schedule, and shadow management that's still disgusting. |

The most money which is made with games are simple casual 3d games. |
