A little relaxing project i'm working on the last 2 days. I didn't know if i use it for a game project or not. Next step is adding some more details. |

Nice idea. You could also make an educational program that's interactive. |

I added a shore line now. |

Congrats - that looks fantastic! I love it. The leaves, sand, water and shoreline are really nice. Is the shoreline animated? Keep going, it looks lush. |

By the way, if you attach the water plane to a small vertical path (with a closed loop), and set the loop time to something like 3000ms (3seconds), the water will bob up and down to simulate waves lapping at the terrain. |

@chrisz Very nice, you have a talent for visual quality! Cauldron & this work do very well illustrate the good graphics level CopperCube can be capable of - despite the sometimes trolling criticism in that department. Your island scene reminds me of a similar project of mine rendered in blender some time ago. Having your beautiful style now in real-time with CopperCube is amazing. Keep it up, and who knows, maybe you let us wander around that environment later ;-) ? |

Thanks for the kind words. The shoreline is not animated. It is unfortunatly static ![]() ![]() VP you idea is great and thanks a lot for this. I will try it. ![]() Actual i have a little big bug what makes me crazy. On a point of view the shoreline is blend off. ![]() I don't know why. I try around with the light angle, the vertics of the plane and so on. Someone criticise the palms. The longer i look on them the more they make me angry ![]() I think i will made better palms in a 3d modeller. ![]() |

This is really looking nice! I think a good storyline would be, he gets stranded on the island (how else did he get there? Surely not just by magical teleportation by the game designer!) and must find/collect supplies to make a hut, collect fresh water... find food, etc. And he has to do this before the next storm (which, of course, will make his task that much harder, if not impossible, due to hypothermia, mud (which slows him down), and lightning strikes! (which would kill him)). The difficulty level would determine how fast he needs to work, to complete those goals before the storm arrives. After the storm (if he's successfully collected/built everything and is safely inside the hut), a ship arrives to rescue him... unless he wants to stay (which is an option). If he hasn't, then he loses. |
