I think you should place some screenshots and promotional videos on the page, otherwise I don't think players will buy a game that they don't know what it looks like. That is very important!

Hi luposian, congratulation for your new game!

I agree with bulletchain, you need to add screenshoots of your game, because without the images, nobody will know how the game really look like. another tip is to promove your game in facebook, instagram, twiter, here and the forum and so far! How many more people see your game and the graphics, more chance for you to sell!

If you know anything about Psygnosis' Brataccas, I might be able to use your help making a 3D version of it. Let me know if it looks like it would be of interest to you. Research it first, if you've never heard of it.

Hi @luposian,

I'm sorry for being negative, I hope you won't take it to heart.

I saw your post, and watch a gameplay video, then read a game description, and to tell the truth these triggered me a bit. Primarily, because of wolves. And judging by your nickname you love your wolves:)

First of all, I don't understand what your game is. There are no game mechanics so far, you can only run around the empty space. Do I attack enemies, do I solve puzzles, what do I do in the game? For that reason, I'm not sure why should I be interested in it. Basically, what I understood from now, this is a game about your avatar, who discovers their identity and ultimate purpose. And this somehow has a light fleur of sense of self-greatness.

Second thing, your description says that you already spent 800$ for the game. This probably makes your game the most expensive Coppercube game ever made. I would even say, that 800$ is greater than the overall budget of all games made with Coppercube. I mean, you probably, have some other game resources except the furry model, which are not shown in the gameplay video. In that case, I think it's a good idea to show off what you already have to draw people's attention.

Also, there are fiverr gigs which offer a full featured game development with Unity for half of the price. I mean it's your money, and you spend them how you want. From the other hand, you ask people buy the game in its current state to support the development. The description says each new stage will cost you 100 bucks. I as a potential investor can't see how it happens, since once again, you've spent 800 bucks in 2 months, and as a result have a default demo scene with a swapped player model.

This is a preliminary version. Not a full game. Not even a complete "Stage". But I wanted to share it with others. To share my enthusiasm and the "adventure" this game will take players on.

You're triggered by wolves? Did one huff and puff and blow your house in? :-D

"Luposian" is derived from the Italian root word "Lupo" (wolf). I'm half-Italian. The "sian" was just added to make it a full name. It's my handle and it's my character. If you don't "get it" (understand), that's ok, you don't have to.

If you're not into playing games with anthropomorphic characters in it (hmm... that might be kinda hard, since ALL game characters aren't actually real or alive... they're ALL anthropomorphic, technically speaking)... stop playing games, period! :-D

No, "self-greatness" has nothing to do with it. Luposian is an actor within a storyline. Playing out his role in this "movie", just as any actor would. I simply want others to be able to go on this "journey" with him. Just because "Luposian" is my handle, doesn't mean he represents me in the game. I'm not that self-centered.

To bring Luposian from a simple 2D pencil sketch, to a "living" 3D character onscreen, is a dream come true. Regardless of why, how much is a dream worth to realize, to you? Hundreds? Thousands? Or maybe you can't afford to ever do so, and so you consider those who can, are somehow wasting their money?

Do you realize that Kam_27 is the ONLY 3D artist I found on Fiverr that was willing to work on a project BEFORE being paid? Yes... EVERYONE else that was interested in my project (at the time it was just converting a 2D pencil sketch into a 3D model) wanted to be paid FIRST. I don't like doing business that way. My money is good. And I don't expect a product to be delivered to me before I pay them, but I DO expect to know I'm getting something I want for the money I'm spending to have it done BEFORE I hand over my money.

What is this "default demo scene with swapped player model" you're talking about? Kam_27 has never used CopperCube before, so I'm not going to fault him for taking a few shortcuts (if indeed he has), but what is this "swapped player model" you're talking about?

I perfectly get your pun with a name, that's why I'm telling that you love your wolves judging by your nickname. lupus is a latin word and it came to other languages from it.

In my home country imagery of wolves are usually associated with low level semi-criminals, marginals, alcoholics, and etc. You caught a point. It also spawned a vast layer of content which satirize their attitude. So if someone uses wolf imagery in non-ironic way it's sort of funny to me.

Regarding spending money. First of all, I already mentioned that it's your own business how you spend yours. Secondly, I get that you're a success who spends a lot of money on a "dream". But why do you ask people to support you if that case? Also why do you put that little effort into it if it's your dream?

Regarding characters. Yes, everything is a fictional character, but not all of them are called the same name as you, not all of them are muscular werewolves, not all of them have an ultimate purpose lol. That makes me think you're a bit self-obsessed.

So regarding the game, could you please explain what will it look like? Do I shoot aliens, do I save galaxies, do I build roads? Your answer still doesn't contain any information on that.

Wolves are animals, not people. People who are savage, mean, cruel, drunkards, etc. are not wolves... they're in need of a savior... Jesus Christ. Just like all of us.

This game will be completed, one way or another. I'm having this game made because I want it. I'm only hoping there are other people who might find it interesting enough to contribute to the effort. But, just as The Little Red Hen made her bread with no help from the other farm animals, so too will this game be finished, regardless, if no one helps.

But maybe it's too soon to be showing progress. Not enough to "do" in the game at this point. I may have gotten ahead of myself on that. Probably should wait until Stage 1 is finished. It'll be a little while, but it will happen.

And, Luposian is NOT a werewolf. Werewolves are savage creatures that kill and maim and destroy. Very bestial. No intelligence.

What is with this "self-obsessed" nonsense? Luposian is my handle. He is not me in the game. He is his own being. Think of it like an actor in a movie. Is the director "self-obsessed" because he is telling the actor what to do and how the movie should play out? This is no different. Luposian is the actor. I am the director. The game is the movie. It's that simple.

If you've watched the video, you know how the game starts out. It's a game of self-discovery for Luposian, to figure out what he is and what his purpose is. Just as those who watched the Star Wars prequels already KNEW Anakin Skywalker was going to become Darth Vader, Anakin didn't know that! But we still watched the movies, didn't we? We (the players) already KNOW Luposian is a bipedal wolf, but we don't know exactly how his story (the game) will turn out. Why? Because that's the purpose of this game... to go on this journey of self-discovery WITH him! Just as we went with Anakin Skywalker on his journey to becoming Darth Vader. We knew he WOULD become Darth Vader, we just didn't know how that would unfold exactly.

So, too, we know that Luposian WILL discover what he is and what his purpose is, but we don't know how that will unfold... until we play the game. Capishe?

And here is another little tidbit of development in the game:

🔎︎

What "werewolf" actually talks to themselves?

Ok, I just changed the price to FREE or donation. It's better that people actually download and play it and get a feel for the game with each release, than to be put off by a mere dollar.
