The demon gravedigger... :P (final scene of my game) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NoAtsowdNM |

Amazing game, thanks and keep updating it. |

Added Lightning strike effects. Im also thinking of adding fog. Stay tuned for more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... |

-Managed to add moving clouds even tough webGL is a strugle with transparency! (clouds move slowly between two points, i dont think it is really noticeable and you can also see this as change of wind direction lol :P This was really hard to add. Took like 3 hours only for those clouds! -Added 3 glowing bulb lights instead of the static streetlamp. (i cut the top of the steetlight off just enought so it will still show the lights 'holders :) fog is a no-go so far unfortunatly. stay tuned for more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... |

Still the problem of particles oriented on the camera seen? and still no options to lock a particular axis, in 5 years of development, or even more? Really? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It isnt a big deal in this case i think. You can use a vertical billboard that will only move along vertically. :) The lightning strikes you see are no particles. they are vertical billboards that move along with the camera only vertical so there are no issues unless you use the standard billboard that rotates along both X and Y Axis. The white lightning flashes in the background is actualy a cloned skybox with white texture and flashes shortly every now and then. The Clouds are a simple 'plane' with fog textures. You have to be a bit creative when working with coppercube engine. Also if you are unable to make games with a straight forward engine like CC then why switch to something like unreal engine?;) I love the Coppercube engine. It is so lightweight it will even run on many older computers. |

Great project! |

another video... Graveyard scene starts at about 4min15sec of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... |
||||
|
Latest modifications: -Added some old wooden windmills -Added a gas station. (this was a Russian model and i made some changes to the textures:) -To enhance the gas station some more i have added a 'neon gas sign' -the crosswalk from previous scene is added. -added streetlights --added traffic lights (i could enhance these also a bit) -added an extra wooden fence like in previous scene before the railroad. You might notice the raindrops dont reach all the way to the gas station, that is because im planning to limit the movement to the graveyard:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... I make a lot of videos so that when im not around my computer i can still watch my scene on phone or something to think of any future changes:) |

Here is another update. I have had a short break because of high temperatures but the past few days i done some work again. Working on the under water part of the game: -Added Moving 'swimming' arms with dynamic light settings (looks great when swimming under the lights at the end of the video) -Added Reflective transparent bubbles -Added the ability to actualy 'swim' instead of walk only -Added slowed down camera effect when submerged -Activated Blur effect when player gets under water with a bit of Java code (ccbSetSceneNodeProperty(ccbGetRootSceneNode(), "Blur", true);) -Water quality is set to 'High' so reflections will look best as can be. I have been searching for a nice transparent overlay i could use when the player is under water. I have tried many overlays without real good results. I think activating the Blur post- effect was a good move in this case. I have also improved some small settings that make the game load up faster and running more smooth. Total filesize is 329MB, Video includes sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... Here is a temporary link valid for approx 24 Hrs: -Need atleast 2GB of video memory Controls: -mouse and keyboard (arrow keys for movement). -picked up items use the numeric keys 1 to 4 to select them. -Press S to release SPIKES, Press G to release GAS, press Z to Reset *Bugs will occur, this is a !DEMO! https://netherplaystudios.nl/ERV... |
