Yes, start the sound playing paused, set the play position and then unpause.

Is it possible to play a song in IrrKlang instead of from the beginning to from any moment (e.g. from 2:37 sec)?
No pausing. Only immediately - e.g. under the influence of some event in the game. It would be helpful. How to do it?
