🔎︎

A quick prototype of a point-and-click puzzle game.
Made using3D scans of a public Museum in Switzerland.
It's just a non-profit game for my own practice with Coppercube but I have asked permission to use all 13 of their 3D scans.

No lighting, no editing, just dropped the scan and a mixamo character animation into coppercube - looks great in my opinion.

I can clean the mesh and reduce the texture size to improve performance and reduce file-size.

Thank you Monks!

Really glad you like it - I can't claim any credit for this - it's just a model imported to Coppercube but when it loaded the screen, I was really happy to see how good it looked. I think I'll develop it into a game - just waiting for permission from the model maker and I can neaten upthe meshes.

You can make your own scans like this with an iphone 13 PRO. This model (only pro versions) have a Lidar camera. You can scan any object or room in 3D and export it including textures with the polycam app. I will be focussing on this when my diner/escape room game is finally 100% done:)

Wow, LIDAR looks great! Hard to believe such technology is in a mobile phone now. Way too expensive for me at the moment but I'd definitely buy a second hand one from a family member if it became available.

I have the iphone 13 pro and it works flawless! If you go to the polycam website and sign up you can download scans others uploaded for free also to make something with. It is amazing technology;) a single room can be scanned and exported within like 5 minutes of work. No need to apply textures with blender etc… just export the fbx and load up in coppercube:)

Sounds great! - I'd be scanning everything every day, lol.
I'll keep an eye out for a cheap 13Pro, my parents bought an xbox1 camera and a PC adapter for scanning, it's not good enough for scanning - but it;s perfect for motion capture (using Brekel Body V2) - always wanted a scanner- 13Pro sounds perfect for coppercube stuff.

@veganpete Congratulations, nice work!
Iphone 12 PRO also has the LIDAR camera to do 3D scanning.

Nice one @VP, btw there are many devices that comes with Lidar. I have tried that tech and yeah that's really usefull when it comes to 3D scans.

Hope to see more scanned geometry and games in CC.

Great job VP! Using scans is wonderful as it is realistic and performs well if you don't use light and shadows! We can say that it is a game with pre-rendered graphics, excellent!

Ah, Switzerland

Such a beautifull country ...
Go see for yourself if you got the chance

I Have quite a few historic maps on my site geotiek.nl
City centers are mostly ontouched, same roads and buildings like 400 years ago.
