However, it will be nice if the "onFrameEvent" will be restricted to registering only once. If you hold down the key for showing the minimap or press it multiple time, it will register multiple On Frame Events and hence it requires to close them multiple times.

Yes of cource but this is just an example of usage.. in real game of cource game maker should consider to create switch for this usage.-i kept example as simple as possible.

Next version i probably add toggle switch also and some more nice features -like permanent markers that doesnt go off minimap so they stay in corner of minimapmap permanent (so they point direction of some mission or something main) until other command called.

Updated.

Added option to keep marker on the minimap corner even if its out of range. -so it points direction to player even if its not in range of radar.
(just use settings AlwaysOnMap true)
Removed possibility to call onFrameEvent many times while toggle between Hide / Show minimap.

Added simple demo "quest" to demonstrate the simplest way to use it.

First post is more like radar than minimap so i decided to make minimap / map also.

I added info how to use it with download so read it from info.bmp or watch from youtube video.

Thanks for the update @sven, I personally prefer radars to minimaps. From the next upcoming update of Coppercube, it will be much easier to create actual minimap in CC. As it will just add another overlay with a camera render in the scene.
Users can create a fixed camera in the top view or a camera as a child for the player in the top view.
but that can be a bit resource heavy, so minimaps screenshots are much better if it will affect the performance.

I remeber letters kingdom game has a decent minimap too, I don't know why but I prefer Radars more over miminmaps. Maybe because they are minimalistic and shows only the most important things of the map.

I prefer radars also but was fun to make minimap so i created one its not a way i am used to make it but for some type of games its usable.

New coppercube update will give new functionality to play with ..i will wait for it :D

Now map will scroll and can rotate if set.
