I am sitting in Germany. Here, we have the hardship of a tightly-knit data protection regulation. I want to install the Google fonds that my RC site uses on my own host. Can someone give me some help on how to do this? Thanks to the experienced :-) |

See here: https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/d... You will find lots more if you use the search string "google fonts auf dem eigenen server installieren" See also https://google-webfonts-helper.h... |

Further on the above: The easiest way is to get the font and the CSS snippet using the above linked Google Webfont Helper. Once you got the font and the CSS downloaded customize the CSS code to make the font url point to where you are going to place the font on the server. Then check this video on how to insert the CSS into your RocketCake pages (as of 10:00) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... |

Uiuiui ... I confess ... I can design beautiful pages, but with the detail technique in the background I'm pretty stupid :-) Let's see what I can do. Still, thanks for the handout ... |

This page in German language explains in all detail how to make Google fonts available locally. Scroll down to the section "Google Fonts selber hosten". https://www.webdesign-journal.de... Edit: I have made a number of attempts to make locally hosted Google fonts work but give it up now. I just don't know how to insert the CSS that the Webfont Helper delivers. |

I haven't given up yet, and I think I've got it. Now I need some feedback. The test site works fine on Windows + Firefox, but there are other OSs and browsers out there. The test site has 4 pages, each in a different font face: Arial (just for reference) Gwendolyn (locally hosted Google font) Open Sans (locally hosted Google font) Oldenburg (locally hosted Google font) You should not find any link to Google in the source code. Here it is https://4hundert.de/fontstest/in... |
