I am trying to place some text in a container using the free position but it keeps aligning at the bottom of the container, no matter where I place it the text jumps back to the bottom. |

Drag the "Floating Text" element from the toolset window into the container. Type your text into it. You can move the element anywhere in the container, and it will keep its position. Be sure that in the Properties window you have selected the position type "Free Position". |

Thanks for that, I found I could move the text using the arrow buttons and that worked also. |
