Using Spot lights rather than just point lights can give a better look I think: See latest Artwork on Steam: https://steamcommunity.com/app/857350/images/?p=1&browsefilter=mostrecent |

I saw the screenshoots, very beautiful graphics! The light is very good! |

cheers 'andgameplay' Change to directional light in Irrlicht settings to get the angle you want then change back to spot light with bigger "Radius" like 45 and can adjust with code on the 'Color' to dynamically adjust its brightness... |

What's a spotlight? I was only aware of directional and point lighting. |
||||
|
The spotlight is only available in the Irrlicht settings at the bottom... |

Thanks Robo! |

Thanks Robo fo the tip! Working with irrlicht settings all the time for material properties only, I've never had the idea to check irrlicht settings for lights till now. Spot lights look amazing plus we can have multiple Directional lights ("suns") at the same time just by adjusting irrlicht settings of point lights! ?? ?? ?? |

... P.S. ... sorry for the question marks, CopperCube is really great, but I wish its forum could display three simple sun Emojis ... |

@Robo, I change the light type to spot, but there is no change in the result (both in static lightmap and dynamic lighting). |

Can you guide in more detail? |

I never really understood why some CC users feel limited by the ability CC has, and it's a hack but works just fine, but you can just import an existing CC scene you've already made, and the terrains/directional lights become basically limited only by what hardware you have. I've imported 4 terrains and 2 directional lights into a file and it ran OK... |

|
Not to mention it becomes really cool with terrains now because JustInCase made his recent tutorial about parenting terrains to dummy objects upon which you can scale the dummy and terrain rotates/scales/transforms in relation to the dummy object... |

Alireza wrote: Can you guide in more detail? Its possible the default spot light angle matches the old point light, but to change direction of the spot light, change to directional light first as 'just_in_case' thankfully worked out until you get the angle you want then change back to spot light and should show correctly then. Also you can change the spot light radius which will affect its strength, and also the tightness which will affect its size or angle to brighten up... |
