How to play BGM in CC? Why do I import a song in wav format into the 3D game node of CC? What I hear is a harsh sound? Or can only use Ogg format? By the way, my wav songs are converted from MP4 files and can be played. But in CC, we can't |

Coppercube can play the following audio files:, wav, ogg, xn, mod, sm3, it and mp3. There are many audio formats and carriers and for each format/carrier, there are many audio properties which can be encoded to the audio, multilple audio channels (eg:: 5.1), bitrate, frequency, loop-points, samples, tempo, pitch, tags, metadata, artwork etc.etc. Coppercube usually just plays the files but it may be that the audio is relying on a Windows exclusive encoder (for example, mp3 will only seem to play if your system has the LAME encoder) - wav files with more than 2 channels wont play - in that case, you'd need to re-encode/convert the audio to a supported format. Even though they may play fine on your PC setup through a dedicated audio software. Ogg is a good format because it's fast, lossless and quite small file-sizes and you can get decent audio quality at very low bitrates and frequencies - so you can save a ton of space when compared to wav/mp3. |
