The game isn't ready yet, but I really want to showcase gameplay a bit:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... You're driving a car collecting sheeps. Currently, I'm fighting with physics bugs (some are on the video), and also need to add menus, and hopefully another level or two. |

the video looks nice in my opinion! good gfx and very nice gameplay it seems! the tune is also catchy |

Very good game! I want to play this! |

A funny game! |

The game is very beautiful! I liked the challenge, the style cartoon of the graphics and the shadow of the car! It's great! I'm doing a medieval game, but later I want to created a race game if this style of graphics! |

Very good game! I like its picture and low polygon style, and its playing method is also very unique, but I think it is very strange to drive a car to collect sheep. If you can model, you can try to create a reasonable looking sheep collecting car |

I have a question about how you play BGM in the game. I added a theme song around the Pacific Ocean to a 3D sound node, but it got stuck at runtime |

@andgameplay Thank you! I didn't really done any graphics for the game. You can find a lot of similar assets here on Kenney's site: https://kenney.nl/assets?q=3d. They ship al lot of free assets licensed with CC0 - sort of amazing. @bulletchain I though of replacing the car with a pickup truck or something similar. But for now I decided to leave at as it is. I would like to add an option to choose between multiple cars in the future, so I don't want limit myself to just pickups. I do some 3d modelling with blender and dust3d, but I'm awful at that:) So I prefer to use free assets made by other people. Modelling is also really time consuming to me. Even using free assets I already spent 30-40 hours for the game - and I'm only doing programming. In case I also need to do modelling it will probably tripple the time. It will be cool to make everything from the scratch some day. Create the models, record sound effects and music from scratch and etc. But I probably need to divorce and quit my job to realease a game that way:) Regarding the sound. I'm just starting it using a built-in action in the beginning of the level. Using 3d nodes doesn't really work for me since the bg music volume drops in case any sfx plays at the same time. Probably, there is some internal mixing happens or something. Check your music file format. CCB only supports ogg and wav. In case it's in another format you can use online tools or Audacity https://www.audacityteam.org/ to convert the file. Even if it's in correct format try to re-encode it anyway - for ex ogg has two standard vorbis and opus, wav has even more. It might be the one CCB can not read. |

Hey, I actually decided to upload a demo today:) You can find it here: https://zeicmann.itch.io/sheep-racer Unfortunately, currently only one level is available. I spent last 10 days trying to fix physics bugs and implementing some ice drifting, which is not in the game yet. I'm a bit tired of it now:) The best feature so far is global high score - everything is sent to the server and shared between all players. Have fun and please leave the feedback. |
tried the demo real nice! the global highscore is also a great feature in my opinion at least is it a top 10 list ? |
very cool game! I got second! |
Thanks guys! @coa It's top 15 for now. I wanted top 20, but it's hard to fit on screen considering CCB doesn't really adapt font size for different resolutions:) j |

Just a quick update on the game. I'm currently updating the car physics, short demo could be found here: https://youtu.be/rzyVKvuF_4E I also hope the new approach will finally fix the bug with everything bumping into the air. You can still download the previous verions: https://zeicmann.itch.io/sheep-r... |
