I was just about to release my multiplayer made with perl and mysql... I even made a video for it... But the problem that I had was that I was getting about 3 seconds delay... Is that why you used sprites instead of 3D models? In my version you can choose avatars and enemies have different guns... I am trying to see whether that is possible with your version but it does not seem so...The player is always cloned and you can't select a server... Hmmm.. Excellent job in any event, I am going to see how I can modify your code |

After examining the script...I discovered that it cannot be used because the database details are public. Do you have a work around for this? Nobody can deploy one of these games publicly with those details sticking out for everyone to see |

So, I got really annoyed that you released your multiplayer version before me... but I am happy for you... So I decided to work on mine a bit more and I managed to get a 300 ms delay with 3D animated models unlike your 2D gifs... I also instead of cloning scene node, I am creating multiple characters with different weopons. I am quite exited because I found your version a bit to limited. But I guess that I have to thank you for pushing me to create something even better. Although I don't think that I will release it like intended because you have already released yours... But I will make a youtube video for when it is ready |

That seems to be a lill bit same method i was using for my games since 2016 ... But my method wasn't possible to use without my action read specific line from a text file... I used them in a in game chating app using mysql database to fetch data and write them in a text file and then read the data with my action... And then again posting data back to the mysql with the write variable to a text file and then by executing a third party script..... But it seems that your method ia much simplified... A great work has been done by you... Good job!! Keep it up!! |
