I am trying to add collision to some objects but when I add the Collide when moved behavior one object works fine while another larger object stutters and shakes and can only move slightly. I have adjusted the size to fit very close to the size of the object but don't know what else to try. Any ideas?

Hi Barry,

From the coppercube documentation, you need to ensure that the collision bounding ellipse is a bit larger than the object

• Size: Three values defining the size of the ellipsoid around the 3D object. This is the object which actually collides with the 3D world, so it should be made big enough to fit around the 3D object.

Sometimes, it is possible to get stuck in the geometry when moving using this behavior. Always place the 3D object at a position so that the yellow ellipsoid isn't colliding with a wall in the beginning, so that it is not stuck.

So, it is better to put the character a bit away from the ground for example and it will fall following the gravity settings

Additionally, you can use the colSmallDistance variable to change the 'small distance' to fit your collision system better.

The collision "small distance" used by a 'Collide When Moved' behavior. A very small value, set to 0.0005 for example. This affects how the ellipsoid is moved when colliding with a wall. Affects movement smoothness and friction. You can use this to adjust the collision behavior more in depth.

Note: If set to a too big or too small value, this will also may cause the ellipsoid to be stuck.

Thanks for the help Techno-Valley, I really appreciate your advise and will try it now.
