Hello - am still loving RocketCake! Can you help me with a couple of menu questions?

What is the best way to change the background colour properties of the mobile menu? I can manage the standard menu properties but am not sure how to select and change the mobile panel.

Will the paid version of RocketCake allow the menu bar to stay visible on the page even as one scrolls down through the main page content?

Many thanks

Hi,

the mobile menu has the same background (and other) settings as the main menu. Isn't it working for you that way?
You can see and preview it if you make the viewport a bit smaller, with the slider on the bottom.

You can make an element fixed position using custom css styles in the pro edition, yes, see here for example:

Hi - yes, I had assumed that the main menu properties would be automatically carried over to the mobile menu and so didn't make the mobile menu visible. Once I did that I could set the background colour with no problem as you said.

Is it possible to set a gradient colour on the mobile menu or is the only option a solid colour?

Good news about the professional version allowing a fixed position menu. Will definitely go for that.

That's possible, just as with all the other elements. Just select as "backgroundMode" "gradient".

Hi - I could be pressing the wrong buttons but it doesn't seem to give me a gradient/mode option on the mobile menu properties - just pane background colour and pane border colour. Selecting the options just goes though to the standard colour palette. The gradient option only appears on the main menu properties.

Hm, it's there for me, it is just a little bit to scroll down. Below the "Background & Border" section. Isn't it for you?

It doesn't seem to be. There are Background Mode/Gradient settings in the Background & Border section but these only apply to the main menu and do not affect the mobile menu.

I can change the Pane Background Colour and Pane Border colour of the mobile menu by using the colour settings in the top section of the properties box. (The options in this section are, from the top: Padding, Min Entry Width, Pane Background Colour, Pane Border Colour, Use CSS Shadow, Use Mobile Menu, and Mobile Menu Visible.) But there are no Background Mode/Gradient options until you get to the property section below - which only affects the main menu.

Maybe I'm using the wrong technique. To change the mobile menu I close the main window width down to just below the Mobile Visible setting which in my case is 380. When the mobile menu appears I can change its colour and border using the pane settings above but I can't see any gradient settings other than for the main menu.

Sorry if i'm being especially dense.

That's strange, what operating system are you using?

Maybe it is also something in your project file, you can send it to me (see on this website support -> contact, there is a email address listed), and I'll have a look at that.
