Ive been trying to do a roguelike movement/ the binding of isaac type movement in CC but havent had luck. I mean I can get my player/cube to move in the direction I want it with key press and using position but its not really smooth. How can I get my player to move smoothly? |

nobody knows how to do this? |

Hello. Can you please share an example as a CCB file or a video to describe what you mean? I don't know what you mean when you say the movement is not smooth. Do you have so many items in the game that your computer cannot handle the load? Could it be caused by a glitch in the engine? Are you using the "Move Animated" feature? If you have your movement attached to the Behavior called "Every few seconds, do something", try setting the time to 1 millisecond to see if it improves the smoothness. If you're talking about the lag in the video for your Super Summoned Mega Kid game, I don't know what could cause that. You should share more information about how your movement is set up so a person who has noticed the same problem can share advice. |

You can use acceleration and deceleration for your player movement...... That may help you...! |

Please try this file and tell me if the movement seems smoother: https://drive.google.com/file/d/... Press the WSAD buttons to move. I haven't been able to make the "Move Animated" feature work correctly with that method. You'll need to wait for a smarter person to fix that. haha. |

wow I had no idea that you could do that with Variables. I seriously need to get better at variables. I know it should be easy but sometimes I just cant get my head wrapped around it. Thanks a bunch, works alot better then how I had it for sure. how do I adjust the speed, just change the value? |

The three pictures of the character in the Textures Window belong to a member of this forum named 3dblendsphinx. The idea of connecting movements to variables is also his. He used JavaScript to move the character, and I modified it so it uses the behavior called "Change position of a scene node" instead of JavaScript. His character was attached to a cube, and I flattened the cube to simulate a 2D character by setting its "Scale" attribute to 1.0, 0.0, 1.0, which removes its Y (vertical) dimension. I don't know if he will allow you to upload it to Marshtown Madness with his images. I hope he reads this message and gives permission! |
