It'd be cool to see 2 things implemented in CopperCube... 1. Ubuntu support! It'd be cool to see an option to export games so they run natively on Linux. 2. A proper pause menu system: It would be nice to see this implemented, since switching to a different scene, while it could work, is rather strange whereas an option to pause the game and stay in the same scene would be more logical. Just my 2 cents! I'll eventually buy CC 6 Basic (I don't want to buy it right now since I'd only have a few more minor releases to look forward to!) |

Thanks for the suggestions! BTW, it runs on Ubuntu nicely using Wine, but I know, that's not what you wanted. About CC 6: That's still a long way ahead. Planning to do more free updates for CC 5 first. |

You're welcome. Oh, it actually runs in Wine? That's awesome! Color me impressed... As for CC 6's release being a while away: That's fine. I'm liking what I'm seeing when it comes to CC's very easy-to-adapt workflow and overall feature-set, and I do plan on buying the Basic license in the future (not sure of when..), to keep you going and to fund development. Another plus with CC is the fact that you can easily pick up on it without having to know how to code. There have been engines in the past which have tried to do this, but without much success. 3D Rad is the one which sticks out the most, since it had the same goal as CC does, but it was very limited and was never updated to support recent formats (it was all .X based). It did, however, have scripting support (AngelScript), for those who wanted to use it, but it wasn't absolutely necessary to use the engine. |
