How to resize images proportionately?

Apologies as this is probably a daft question... How do I set an image to resize proportionately?

You mean when dragging? Hold down shift while dragging.


If you mean for rezizing responsively: Usually, they do resize proportionaly automatically. They have a size like "50%, auto", or similar, where the "auto" is for the height, which means it will adjust with the right aspect ratio to the width.

Thanks. I meant responsively but I think I used the wrong kind of container which is why my image was misbehaving. I followed your logic and it is working correctly. Many thanks again.
