How to make a top-down camera with clickable navigation for browsers?

I am looking to create a website using Coppercube. I want to create a top-down map that the viewer can navigate by clicking the mouse or touch and move the map. I need a top-down camera to do so. It needs to be super smooth - not clunky at all. It should be top down only, so the user can only move left/right and forward/backward. The keyboard should not be trapped so that users can type.

I also need to make hotspots (both 3D objects, like a building, and 2D graphic overlays) that are clickable and go to specific web pages. As the user hovers over these objects and overlays, I need them to highlight, like a navigation button.

Is this possible with Coppercube? If so, how do I create such a camera? Hotspots?

When I try to do it myself, I cannot seem to make the camera rotate at all - the picture representation of the camera never moves (it SHOULD be a 3D object itself that can be moved and rotated like any other 3D animation software's camera object).

I'm stumped on how to do it.

Same for lights, by the way. You should be able to rotate and move a light and see the feedback move and rotate at the same time. Instead, these things seem to be billboards or sprites and there is no real feedback to speak of. It makes it impossible to tell what is going on.

I tried to create a simple camera and was able to make it look straight down, so that's done.

The entire terrain needs to be a map. Right now, it tiles too much no matter what I do. How do I set the terrain texture (all three) to be a large map with no tiling?

I need to make it clickable so when you drag the terrain, it shows other parts of the map. I tried 'drag 3d object' but it only works with windows.exe and flash, but I need it to be webgl for compatibility - does not work.

Also, when it is click and drag capable, it does not remember the last position anyway, making it useless. How do I make the map or camera move when the browser screen is clicked (think google maps) in two directions - do not need in and out, just left/right and forward/backward?

Once I have these questions answered, the rest I can likely do myself without much instruction.

not sure what you're talking about exactly, something like this?

THANK YOU for someone FINALLY answering ANYTHING about my post!

Yes - something like that, but instead of automatically scrolling, the user would click and drag the map in the direction they want to go.

Here is a reference website which we want to EXACTLY replicate:

http://rainforest.arkivert.no

We want to animate our map (game world) just like they do (with voice over) and then settle into a top down EXACTLY like they did with hotspots to click on.

@Niko - I am SURE this can be done. Niko? Any input on this. I want to invest in Coppercube (Pro edition), but not if I don't hear from you. I assume you help people with your software. As a LONG TIME Coppercube user, I would like to think I would receive some help or guidance. I cannot be left hanging for days at a time when I have a question about Coppercube. I will not spend hundreds of dollars on the pro edition if there is no help.

I sent a contact request using your website contact form a WEEK ago and have not heard hide nor hair from you about my dilemma. When I put the last two serial code groups of my Coppercube 5 basic license into the upgrade form it says invalid entry. My Coppercube 4 basic serial code does work, however. I assume it's less expensive to go from 5 Basic to 5 Pro then 4 Basic to 5 Pro. Please help me with this.

oh, i see. yes, in theory this certainly could be done. most could be done with the built-in actions of coppercube, however the ultra smooth specific camera style/movement would require some moderate work on your part. probably not by "hacking" your way through the editor, but more likely you would have to script it yourself or even possibly modifying the existing 'drag and drop' javascript file.
